Story of the playset: We do live out in the country so I do not feel that I have the same kind of control over sandbox areas as I might in the city, but we seem to have an overabundance of cats in the neighborhood who are using our sandbox for their litterbox. - I am not a germ freak, but the thought is SOOOOO nasty! One of them was so bold as to walk right up while the guys were removing the sand. Therefore we cleaned the sand and removed it all from the area and spread it in a thin layer on our driveway - not litter box digging available. We will put new sand back in the portion under the lookout after we make a storage cover for that area, but we are going to use rubber mulch for the remainder. (No one seems to think the cats will be attacted to it especially since we bleached the are several times, but time will tell. It is an expensive proposition, but our grandkids are precious to us and it is supposed to be one of the safest materials to use for play areas. Grandkids are coming this weekend so it is a must get done task.
Next we bought lots of hardware in the form of screws, brackets, a knob, and such. That was followed up with lumber for more work tables, including my carving table and the sanding/downdraft table. We are also making a sample bunkbed to display in the shop. We would have purchased more, but wanted the plywood cut down at the store, and their saw was not operational. Even so, there will be plenty to do over the next few days. lol
One thing to be said about our life - it is never so slow as to be worried about getting bored. tee-hee
Life is GOOD!

you could have put rocks in the play area and it wouldn't have bothered Henry he still would have played his little heart out. But the Mama appreciates it.
Henry's grandparents and great grandpa were concerned about the poo. Great grandpa was actually extremely concerned after all the excavating that was done. GROSS!
