July 6: How Much Fun Can You Cram Into a Day??

Well, I will let the pictures tell you about the fun we had with the grandkids, etc.

First we had to visit the neigh - bors to the west.

Then we had to test out the newly refurbished sandbox and play area.

Grandma and Grandpa bought new bubble making wands that are really cool!  Check out the bubble that looks like it is encircling Zoe's head.  Henry was really fascinated with the bubbles and even managed to get Great Grandpa to help shoot bubbles at his mom.

Being a two-fisted bubble blowers was a major highlight of one of us. Right, Henry?

It was back to the sand for Henry.  He did push-ups and then had to clean off his forehead, which then turned into having his whole head covered with sand.  lol

When it got warmed we headed into the shade of the garage and discovered that there were new "old" toys in there.  We brought back the toys that my husband, his brothers, and our kids had played with during visits to the folks.

The new riding mower came while we were outside.  Kevin, Jamie and Wayne tested it out.  With the mower deck raised, Jamie and Wayne decided that kids could have a quick ride.  Zoe loved it, but Henry was having too much fun filling the pool  and watering the bushes.

Before any swimming could take place the water had to warm up, but it did not keep the kids from checking things out.  I gave them polyhedrons to play with in the water.  As my family said, "Only a math teacher would have such things laying around."

We took a trip to Mitchell to go to Cabelas and have lunch at Culvers.  Zoe rode in our car.  She worked on her summer journal.  She recorded her visit to see the horses.  She did not record the "disgusting part" where she witnessed a horse taking care of business.

Once we were back home, it was swim time.  Wish I would have gotten some of the really cool action shots, but I had retired my camera for the day.  Low Battery.

Life is GOOD!
